🔔 Update on the Diversity Visa (DV) Program for 2026
Update date: October 3, 2025
The U.S. State Department announced a new update concerning the DV 2026 results, related to a limited number of participants from Cuba, the United Kingdom, and some of its dependent territories.
🇨🇺 Regarding applicants from Cuba:
After reviewing the selection system, it was found that some applicants from Cuba received results indicating they had been selected by mistake. According to U.S. law and the 2026 program instructions, Cuban nationals are not eligible to participate this year because more than 50,000 people from Cuba have immigrated to the United States over the past five years. Consequently, everyone who listed "Cuba" as their country of chargeability was notified that they are not eligible for the 2026 program.
🇬🇧 Regarding applicants from the United Kingdom:
The Department also discovered that a limited number of applicants from the United Kingdom and its dependent territories had previously received inaccurate results. Therefore, all applicants from the United Kingdom and its dependent territories are asked to log back into the official website:

and use their confirmation number to verify their final participation status.
⚠️ Important reminder for selectees:
Under U.S. law, the eligibility period for submitting an immigrant visa application extends until September 30 of the fiscal year, but visas may run out before this date if the number allocated by Congress is issued. To have an interview scheduled, winners must fully complete the DS-260 form and be prepared to submit all required documents, including the medical examination during the interview.
🏝️ "The United Kingdom" includes the following territories:
Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, British Indian Ocean Territory, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Saint Helena, and Turks and Caicos Islands.
Note: Northern Ireland is treated as a separate country in the DV program and is not included in this update.
🇲🇦 Special note for usadvhelp.com visitors:
We want to confirm that this update issued by the U.S. State Department does not include the Kingdom of Morocco, and does not affect Moroccan participants in the 2026 Diversity Visa program. This announcement was specifically for a limited number of applicants from Cuba and the United Kingdom only, due to technical errors in the selection results.
Nevertheless, at usadvhelp.com, we make sure to keep our followers in Morocco informed of all official updates issued by the relevant U.S. authorities, so that our audience remains fully aware of everything related to the American Diversity Visa lottery program.
